Online career counselling and education services firm Careers360 is beefing up its top management as it looks at new business avenues in India's fast growing EdTech space.

The firm has appointed Arastu Zakia as its new chief product officer while founding team member Prateek Shrivastava, who held that position, will take up the role of chief strategy officer.

Zakia moves to Careers360 after serving as the chief executive of online college review and rating service CollegeBol and will head the product, technology and design teams. As the company's new strategy officer, Shrivastava will explore new initiatives that the EdTech firm can turn into business opportunities.

"It is imperative that we think of growing the current business while exploring, investing and creating new business opportunities. The new additions to our team would enable us to do this better. We hope to invest in at least 2 more new businesses by the end of 2018," said Maheshwer Peri, founder at Careers360.

The changes in Careers360's top management comes at a time when the company is looking to bring in sweeping changes to its product and technology offering to appeal to more students. The company says it wants to be in a prime position to solve the problems of students, colleges and employers.
