EID Parry (India) Limited, the manufacturer of sugar and part of the Rs 22,314-crore Murugappa Group, on Wednesday announced the launch of a call centre solution for the farming community.
According to the company, the initiative will benefit around 90,000 farmers registered with EID Parry (India) Limited at five locations in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Through the initiative, the farmers registered with EID Parry will gain access to real-time information about land preparation, advice on soil condition and fertiliser application, cane cultivation technologies, financial details on cane payment, harvesting, labour or transport payments and other related information.
Ravindra Singhvi, Managing Director of EID Parry Ltd, said: “This call centre is expected to benefit all our farmer partners for their agriculture-related information.”
