Escorts Q2 profit soars 44% to Rs 9.68 cr

The company had registered a net profit of Rs 6.71 crore in the second quarter in the last financial year, it said in a release. The total expenditure fell sharply to Rs 485.48 crore for the quarter as opposed to Rs 529.04 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, as per unaudited financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2008.
