Federal Bank posts a 2.34% jump in net profit

Federal Bank posted a 2.34 per cent jump its net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2010.

The company's net profit stood at Rs 116.8 crore for the quarter against Rs 114.1 crore during the corresponding previous quarter.

During the quarter, total income of the bank increased to Rs 1083.7 crore from Rs 1016.2 crore in March 31, 2009. 

For the year ended March 31, 2010, the bank posted a net profit of Rs 464.5 crore as compared to Rs 500.4 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009.

Total income of the bank during the year increased to Rs 4,204.1 crore from Rs 3831.1 crore during March 31, 2009.
