Finolex Cables net down 13% to Rs 38.7 cr in Q4

Finolex Cables, a leading manufacturer of electrical and communication cables has reported a fall of 13% in its net profit for the fourth quarter of FY 13. The company posted a net profit of Rs 38.7 crore in Q4 as compared to Rs 44.5 crore in the year ago period.

Last fiscal, the company's net profit rose to Rs 145.2 crore compared to Rs 98.1crore in FY 11-12, a rise of 48%.

Net sales for the quarter was up by 5% to Rs 625.4 crore compared to Rs 596.7 crore in the year ago period. Net sales for FY 12 were up by 10% to Rs 2270.6 crore.

The Board of directors have recommended a dividend of 60% for the last fiscal.
