Media firm Jagran Prakashan (JPL) today said five of its promoters had sold their respective holdings, aggregating 5.65% stake in the company.
The five promoters -- Vijaya Gupta, Rahul Gupta, Raj Gupta, Bharat Gupta and Tarun Gupta -- have sold 3,565,845 shares (1.13% stake) each through inter se transfer block deals on the National Stock Exchange, JPL said in a regulatory filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
While the filing did not disclose the valuation of the stake sold by Vijaya Gupta, Rahul Gupta, Raj Gupta, it said Bharat Gupta and Tarun Gupta have each sold their respective shares for Rs 42.25 crore.
After the sale, the said promoters have no stake in the company, it added.
JPL's scrips closed at Rs 114.45 per share, down 2.22% from the previous close on the BSE.
