"We have already integrated the steel price hike in the prices of these vehicles," he told newspersons following the launch of the new Ford Fiesta here on Thursday.
He said the company was 'comfortable' with the number of people coming in "to buy its cars in the country in spite of the rising rate of inflation, interest rates and the recent hike in fuel prices."
Boneham said there was also no change in company's plans to increase its production capacity in India from 100,000 vehicles to 200,000 vehicles per annum.
So far, Ford has not increased the prices of its Ikon, Fusion and Fiesta though it has raised the price of its sports utility vehicle (SUV) Endeavour by Rs 30,000 after the recent hike in excise duty on SUVs.
The Ford Fiesta range is priced from Rs 6.29 lakh for petrol variants and from Rs 7.10 lakh for the turbodiesel models.
