Future group to club eZone, Home Town operations

Kishore Biyani's Future group is looking at merging some of the operations of its home improvement chain Home Town and electronics chain eZone for better efficiencies, a Future Group executive said.

"We are looking at having common operating teams, joint marketing strategies and bundled offers for both the formats. Besides, we will also looking at having common back end teams," the executive said.

"But both chains will run independently within the same company," he said.

The group has shut stores of eZone and exited from couple of cities to cut losses. It has also reduced the size of Home Town stores to accomodate group's other formats.

In Many places, large Home Towns have Ezone built into it and Home Town also run as Home Town Express.
