G M Rao appointed Executive Chairman of GMR Infra

Also approved appointment of Vijaya Mohan Ram, Independent Director & S Sandilya, Independent Director as Additional Directors

The board of directors of Bangalore-headquartered infrastructure major GMR Infrastructure Ltd has accorded approval for the appointment of G M Rao as the Executive Chairman of the company for a period of five years with effect from October 18, 2012.

It has also approved the appointment of Vijaya Mohan Ram, Independent Director and S Sandilya, Independent Director as Additional Directors.

The resolutions were passed at the 16th annual general meeting held on September 11, 2012.

GMR Infra has presence in power sector (hydel, gas), roads, airports among others.
