Gangavaram Port Limited (GPL) at Visakhapatnam is planning to add another four berths and associated facilities including additional railway sidings and open / covered stockyard area to increase the handling capacity.
By 2013, GPL plans to operationalise nine deep draft mechanised berths and expects to handle more than 40 million tonnes volumes by 2015, according to a port press release.
