Acquisition of South Africa's Rapidol and Kinky has given Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) a leading position in the fast growing ethnic hair care market there.
As part of its efforts towards increasing its global footprint, GCPL, which owns 100 per cent stake in Godrej Household Products, recently acquired Tura, a leading beauty brand in West Africa as well as the Megasari Group of Indonesia.
"In addition, to its two acquisitions in Argentina of the Issue group and Argencos, GCPL is now market leader in hair colour in 19 countries," GCPL sources here said today.
GCPL today launched 'Godrej Protekt' hand sanitizers at a function here where its Vice-President (Marketing) Anindo Samajpati was present.
