Geojit Comtrade launches India's first mobile trading platform

Geojit Comtrade Ltd, a leading broking firm, today said it has launched 'Flip Me', the country's first mobile trading platform in the commidities market.

The platform was inaugurated by Union Minister of state for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution K V Thomas.

Geojit Comtrade is the first Commodities broking firm to receive permission from NCDEX and NMCE to start mobile trading platform for its customers.

The user-friendly application developed by Geojit Technologies ltd has all features of a normal trading platform like Market data dissemination,Transaction (placement of orders) in NCDEX and NMCE for all listed derivative contracts, Market depth, Position with ledger balance, Order Book and Trade Book.

C J George, Managing director of Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services Ltd, said with the penetration of mobile phone, Geojit was seeing greater potential for commodity trading in future.

The Indian commodity market had grown tremendously and was presently generating a daily turnover of 50,000 tonnes in 35 commodities, he said.

Commenting on the launch, C P Krishnan, Director of Geojit Comtrade ltd said the platform complements the existing range of offerings, giving clients a new channel of delivery.

P C Cyriac, Federal Bank chairman and Sheela Thomas, Rubber Board chairperson were among those who were present at the launch.
