Gujarat Gas Company today said its consolidated net profit rose by 42.33 per cent to Rs 46.23 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2009, over the same period last year.
Income from operations rose to Rs 386.12 crore for the quarter ended December 31, from Rs 330.88 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Gujarat Gas Company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
On the standalone basis, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 46.31 crore for October-December quarter, up 46.59 per cent over the same year-ago period.
The board of directors has proposed a dividend of Rs 3 per share for 2009. The board has also decided to convene the annual general meeting of shareholders on April 22.
