HCC bags Rs 888-cr NPCIL contract

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 887.92 crore from Nuclear Power Corporation (NPCIL) for civil works at the Rajasthan Atomic Power Project, Rawatbhata.

Under the project, the company would construct nuclear buildings, control building, station auxiliary buildings, heavy water upgrading plant and other miscellaneous buildings, HCC said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The project is to be completed in 50 months, it said.

The company has constructed all the six previous units of the Rajasthan Atomic Power Project at Rawatbhata in Kota.

The engineering major claims that it has constructed 11 nuclear power units with associated works.

Shares of HCC today ended at Rs 102.30, down by 7.08 per cent over previous close on the BSE.
