Hyderabad-based dairy and retail company Heritage Foods Limited has reported a 54 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 16.52 crore for the quarter ended June, 2016 as compared with Rs 10.72 core in the corresponding quarter previous year, on the back of improved performance of its dairy business.
Total income from operations grew 9.65% to Rs 634.23 crore in the quarter under review as compared with Rs 578.42 crore in the year ago period.
Total expenditure has increased 8.75% to Rs 607.78 crore from Rs 558.89 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.
Though revenues from retail business grew 26% at Rs 168.81 crore as compared to 133.93 crore in the year ago period, the segment ccontinued to make losses, which stood at Rs 6.17 crore before finance costs and taxes.
