The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp today reported 19.39% jump in its net profit for the quarter ended September 30 at Rs 603.62 crore due to highest-ever vehicle sales in the period.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 505.60 crore in the corresponding period last year, Hero MotoCorp said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
During the quarter, the company reported its highest-ever total income at Rs 5,909.07 crore, up 27.62% from Rs 4,630.30 crore in the year-ago period, it added.
The firm, earlier known as Hero Honda, also saw its highest-ever quarterly vehicle sales at 15,44,315 units compared to 12,85,944 units in the same period last year, up 20.09%.
The shares of the company today fell by 0.41% to close at Rs 1,984.85 apiece on the BSE.
