Himachal Pradesh-based Himalaya International, an agriculture export-oriented company, said the first unit of its food processing plant set up at Vadnagar in Gujarat’s Mehsana district, has started commercial production and all the units are slated to commence operations in the next four months.
Himalaya International Chairman Manmohan Malik said, this plan has been set up with a total investment of Rs 130 crore and is the largest food processing project in the country, set up in 18 months. He said, the plant has been set up in 100 acre land and has provided direct employment to around 2,000 skilled and other category workers.
