Enters into multi-year strategic partnership with BMGI

In a bid to promote its activities, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A)'s student body, Consult Club, has entered into a strategic partnership with global consulting firm Breakthrough Management Group International (BMGI) in India. The multi-year agreement, which will allow BMGI to carry the club's activities, is a first by any club at IIM-A.
The partnership aims to promote avenues of interaction for students, faculty, alumni and professionals through activities designed to increase and develop an understanding of the profession. In an official communique, the premier B-school stated that Consult Club had conducted Sectorama with BMGI last year - a sector analysis contest which saw participation from over 2000 students across 80 B-Schools in India, a significant jump from the participation levels from the previous years.
According to Ashutosh Sinha, co-ordinator of the Consult Club at IIM-A, this year, the club plans to invite participation from students of foreign B-Schools as well.
"Consult Club at IIM-A strives to become one of most prominent and respected clubs in the global B-school universe. This partnership gives us an ideal platform to help us achieve this objective," he added.
In India, BMGI has a clientele comprising Asian Paints, Daimler Benz, Volkswagen, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, ITC, HUL, Marico, Oracle, Reliance Industries, Vodafone, and SKF, among others.
"We are excited to partner with the IIM Ahmedabad Consult Club. The synergies are tremendous with BMGI bringing in its professional management consulting experience and the club's potential to involve students in a variety of its activities," said Naresh Raisinghani, CEO and Executive Director, BMGI.
