Info Edge Q2 net declines marginally to Rs 33.26 cr

Firm posted Rs Rs 33.32 crore profit for the July-September quarter of last fiscal

Info Edge, which runs the jobs portal Naukri.Com, today reported a marginal decline in its standalone net profit at Rs 33.26 crore for the quarter ended September 30.

The firm had posted Rs Rs 33.32 crore profit for the July-September quarter of last fiscal, it said in BSE filing.

Standalone net sales rose to Rs 123 crore for the second quarter of this fiscal compared to Rs 106.4 crore in the same in 2012-13.

Info Edge said that during the year recruitment solutions grew at 6.7%, while the real estate vertical grew by 57.4%.

"A very solid quarter with very satisfactory growth in revenue and operating margins. This reflects superior execution in sales and in product/technology across all our businesses," Info Edge Group President and CFO Ambarish Raghuvanshi said in a statement.

The firm is poised to take advantage of an improvement in revenue and margins as the economy picks up steam, he added.

The Noida-headquartered firm employs over 2,700 people and operates through 48 offices in 31 cities in India and overseas offices in Dubai, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain catering to the Middle East market.
