Speaking on the venture, Shivinder Mandhotra, general manager & business head, Furniture Business said, “We are present in three segments – home, office and education furnitures. In the last two years, we have grown manifold and we now have a strong portfolio comprising of 12 categories. The focus on Chandigarh and Punjab as the market allows us to showcase our innovative, quality products for a wide range of potential clients. Going forward, Chandigarh will be our hub for the whole of North India and to support the same, we are planning to invest Rs 20 million in expanding our manufacturing capacity, dealer network and product development over the next 12 months.”
Currently, the company’s state-of-art manufacturing plant at Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) has a manufacturing capacity of 300 million units per annum.
It has aggressive plans for Chandigarh and surrounding markets as it aims to install 1,000 kitchens, 2,000 wardrobes, 1,000 workstations, 5,000 chairs, 1,000 tables and 2,000 school furniture units in a year’s time. It is expecting a total revenue of Rs 200 million from the northern market by the end of the current fiscal year.
For Chandigarh and the surrounding market, the brand has tied up with the Indian Institute of Architects and has been working on innovative solutions for different sectors to enter the market with a strong proposition.
It is in talks with some of the leading builders and developers in the city and has plans of tapping markets surrounding Chandigarh too. Some of these projects include Omaxe, Sushma Buildtech, Punjab Police, Hi- Tech lighting, Himachal government revenue department and CBSE.
Having a strong & vast product portfolio, the company seeks an opportunity to foray into this business with an objective of blending advanced technology with innovative thinking. The Company has its own in-house Installation team which takes care of installation, makes it easy for its consumers to avail with the products anywhere in India.
He also added that the company has plans to enter Western and Southern market by 2015.
