In another senior-level executive exit at full-service carrier Jet Airways, Krishnan Balakrishnan, its vice-president (fleet and management control), joined GoAir as the chief financial officer (CFO) on Wednesday.

This is the second senior exit at Jet in recent months. Its chief commercial officer Raj Sivakumar had quit last month. Also, recently, GoAir had appointed Prock-Shauer as its chief executive officer (CEO). Shauer was the CEO of Jet Airways between 2003 and 2009.

Balakrishnan replaced Siddhartha Datta, who quit the GoAir some time back to pursue other "interests”, the airline said.

Before joining GoAir, Balakrishnan, a chartered and cost accountant, was looking at aircraft acquisition, leasing and contracts and for legal compliances, commercials, tax issues and negotiations at Jet Airways.

"Krishnan Balakrishnan has joined GoAir as its Chief Financial Officer yesterday," a GoAir spokesperson said. Balakrishnan was instrumental in negotiating the 24 per cent stake deal with Etihad in 2013.
