The much awaited Rehabilitation and Peripheral Advisory Committee meeting (RPDAC) of Jindal Steel and Power Limited and two other power plants here will be held on September 1 at Angul.

Two power plants include Monnet’s 1050 Mw project near Angul and Jindal India Power’s 1200 Mw thermal power plant at Kaniha in the district. Jindal’s power plant construction work is yet to start even after the company has completed the land acquisition process by giving extra sum of money to the protesting land losers. The construction work of Monnet has begun amid periodical stirs by the local land losers.
