KVB's net profit up 42%

Private sector Karur Vysya Bank today reported a 42.48 per cent increase in net profit for the fiscal ended March 31.

The bank reported a net profit of Rs 336.03 crore for the period against Rs 235.84 crore of the previous fiscal, a bank press release said.

Total income also rose, from Rs 1,711.30 crore to Rs 2,004.92 crore, for the period, the release added.

Deposits registered a growth of 27.62 per cent at Rs 19,271.85 crore as on March 31, against Rs 15,101.39 crore in the same period previous fiscal, the release added.
    
Total business also grew to Rs 32,946 crore, as on March 31, against Rs 25,664.29 crore of the corresponding year-ago period.
    
The board of directors has announced a dividend of 120 per cent a share.
