Chennai Metro Rail Limited has awarded the tender for design and construction of track work to a joint venture of Larsen & Toubro Ltd and Alstom Transport, SA & Alstom Projects India Ltd. The order is valued at Rs 449.22 crore.
The scope of work includes design and construction of track work in viaduct, tunnel, underground and depot for corridors – I & II. The track work is for 104 route km including 15 route km of track work in the depot at Koyambedu. The work is expected to be completed in four years.
