Mafatlal Industries serves legal notices to 300 traders for trademark violation

Mafatlal Industries Limited (MIL), a flagship company of Arvind Mafatlal Group has served legal notice with clause of criminal proceedings to more than 300 fabric manufacturers, distributors and dealers for infringement of its trademark and logo for their own benefits.

During investigation, the company found use of its logo and trademark on the fabric not manufactured by it. "We carried out a detailed investigation in Gujarat and Maharasthra and found that some manufacturers continuously used our trademark and logo with some prefixes. Hence, we are preparing to seek search and seizure order from the Bombay High Court shortly to prevent them from using our trademark and logo," said M B Raghunath, President, Mafatlal Industries Ltd. ends
