"The Centuro is testimony to our determination to emerge as a serious player in the high volume commuter segment," he said.
President of the Mahindra two wheeler sector, Anoop Mathur, announced, as a special one time offer, that first 10,000 bookings will get a special discount of Rs 1,000 and will be available at Rs 44,000.
The city was chosen for the national launch as the company, according to Mathur, takes the state of Rajasthan as a positive and potential market with a good network.
The group chairman said that the state capital houses Special Economic Zone 'Mahindra World City' and the company is quite positive about the growth potential of the city and the state as well.
Powered by the indigenously developed MCi-5 (Micro Chip Ignited-5 curve) engine, the Centuro has been engineered to meet exacting consumer demand in terms of performance, features and reliability.
