Utility vehicles market leader Mahindra & Mahindra today launched Imperio, a premium pick-up priced at Rs 6.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Thane, BS III variant).
The new M&M vehicle will compete against Tata Xenon and Isuzu D-Max pick-ups. The Imperio will replace the existing Genio pick-up.
The pick-up has a payload capacity of 1,240 kg. Its direct injection common rail diesel engine delivers peak power of 75 hp and a rated mileage of 13.55 kmpl.
Pravin Shah, president and chief executive (Automotive) M&M, said, "As a result of extensive consumer insight, Imperio reflects the changing attitudes and aspirations of the commercial vehicle buyer who choose utility with style."
