Mastek on Wednesday announced that it has appointed John Owen as its Group CEO to take over from Sudhakar Ram, with immediate effect. Owen will be based in the UK.

Owen has played senior sales and marketing roles in growth organisations like Serco, HP and Nortel over the last 25 years. In his last job at Serco, he was the Sales and Marketing Director for UK and Europe, where his responsibilities included handling the UK Government — Serco’s largest customer.

John Owen said “Mastek has an excellent reputation with its customers. I am both excited and honoured to be leading the growth strategy with the team and look forward to be working with Sudhakar and the Board.
