Mastek Ltd has posted a net loss at consolidated level of Rs 27.66 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010 as against a net profit of Rs 23.54 crore for the same period last year.
The total income of the company dropped to Rs 152.31 crore as against Rs 193.23 crore for the correspoding quarter last year. Even as its revenue from the domestic market increased to Rs 6.4 crore from Rs 5.27 crore, the revenue from the international market, for the third quarter, dropped to Rs 143.39 crore versus Rs 185.63 crore, when compared against last year.
Mastek also posted an exception items gain of Rs 20.69 crore for the first time in the current fiscal during the quarter gone by.
At 12:52 pm, the shares of Mastek were trading down 5.99 per cent at 163.25 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
