Medi Assist has made an investment of $ 1 million in MobieFit, a mobile fitness venture based in Goa.

This strategic partnership will further strengthen Medi Assist’s presence in the corporate segment and also allow the company to make deeper inroads into the Indian consumer health and fitness market, said the company.

MobieFit is a multi-product mobile fitness (mFitness) venture. Their debut product, FirstRun, is a voice-assisted coaching-based running app that features Gul Panag, who is also a co-founder, as a fitness icon. MobieFit will launch more apps in other areas of fitness in 2016.

Medi Assist manages corporate wellness programs for several of our 5000 plus corporate customers.

The company uses data analytics to develop wellness programs that meaningfully address the requirements of each corporate and each employee.

The focus is both on preventive care and fitness as well as management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
