Mindtree to acquire business of 7Strata

Mindtree has entered into a definitive agreemnt to acquire the business of 7Strata, a remote infrastructure management services provider. The acquisition will be effective May 1, 2010 and is subject to certain closing conditions, which are expected to be completed shortly.

According to a company release, Mindtree would acquire the business including people, customer contracts and intellectual properties. 7Strata, which began operations in October 2007, is a Chennai-based privately held company that offers end-to-end fully integrated remote IT monitoring and management services.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen Mindtree's infrastructure management services and entry into remote dektop management services. As part of the acquisition, the core management and delivery team of 7Strata will become a part of Mindtree's IMTS business.
