Nalco announces Rs 451 crore dividend for 2014-15

Total dividend payout is 35%, works out to Rs 1.75 a share; payout previous year was Rs 387 cr

Pubilc-sector aluminium giant Nalco today declared a total dividend payout of 35 per cent amounting to Rs 451.02 crore for 2014-15.

The dividend was approved by the shareholders at the 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Navratna PSU held here today, a company statement said.

The shareholders approved a total dividend payout of 35 per cent, which works out to Rs 1.75 per share.

The total pay-out is Rs 451.02 crore for 2014-15, as against Rs 387 crore for the previous year.

Since its inception, National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) has paid a total of Rs 5,356.76 crore as dividend, including Rs 4,598.99 crore as share of the government, it said.

In his address to the shareholders, Nalco's CMD T K Chand highlighted the performance of the company and outlined its growth plans, the statement added.
