NLC plans to generate 6,500 Mw power

The public sector mining-cum-power producer Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) has said power projects worth 6,500 Mw are under formulation stage. These include a 2,000 Mw coal-based power plant at Uttar Pradesh, which will be developed along with Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidhyut Utpadan Nigam.
