Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today said that NTPC would be duly compensated for the cancellation of its 600 MW hydro-power project at Loharinag Pala in Uttarakhand.
"So far NTPC has incurred about Rs 600 crore on the project and has placed order worth Rs 2,000 crore for the equipment. We have got an assurance from the government that NTPC would be duly compensated," Shinde said.
On being asked when will the company get the compensation, he said a Cabinet note has to be prepared before and approval has to be sought from the cabinet for the compensation.
