A K Dwivedi, director - exploration, ONGC told reporters that along with British Gas the company will do a joint study to reestablish exploration in Cauvery Basin Offshore.
Both the companies will integrate the data together and both the team will work together, said Dwivedi, adding that this will be only academic relation, wont be any business proportion on this.
On KG-DWN-98/2, he said ONGC's Mission 2018 is to produce first gas from here. Reports stated that ONGC would invest over $8.8 billion in bringing to production KG-basin oil and gas discoveries.
ONGC has divided 12 oil and gas finds in the block KG-DWN-98/2 or KG-D5 and gas discovery in an adjacent G-4 block the Bay of Bengal into three clusters to quickly bring them to production.
