Pantaloon Retail Q2 net up 6% at Rs 33 cr

Pantaloon Retail India, a part of Future group, today reported a 5.97 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 33.54 crore for the second quarter ended December 31, 2008, as compared to Rs 31.65 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The company's financial year ends on June 30.

Total income for the reporting quarter grew by 24.35 per cent to Rs 1,527.20 crore from Rs 1,228.07 crore.

The company shares were settled at Rs.162, up marginally.
