Patni appoints Rajiv Ranjan as EVP & Global Head of Business Operations

Patni Computer Systems, an IT and BPO services provider, today announced the appointment of Rajiv Ranjan as the executive vice president and global head of business operations. Ranjan would be a part of Patni’s executive leadership team. And his responsibilities would include overseeing the company's sales operations, revenue planning, delivery operations support (DOS), large deal pursuits and corporate planning.

Ranjan’s industry experience spans 24 years with IT and ITES companies in India as well as US. He has worked with IT and ITES companies like Keane Inc. and WNS Global Services in US. He has also worked with healthcare companies in US such as CVS Caremark, Cigna Healthcare and United HealthCare.

Commenting on the appointment, Jeya Kumar, CEO, Patni said, “We are delighted to have Rajiv join Patni’s leadership team and are confident that his strong business experience and able leadership will lead our objective to improve operational excellence.”

Meanwhile Ranjan said: “Patni is one of the leaders in the IT industry and I am delighted to join them at such an exciting time of their development. I look forward to contributing to Patni’s continued success in this industry.”

Ranjan is a postgraduate in business management from IIM, Ahmedabad and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
