Drug firm Pfizer today said its net profit rose by 71.64 per cent to Rs 43.58 crore for the fourth quarter ended November 30, 2010, over the same period corresponding fiscal.
The company had a net profit of Rs 25.39 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Pfizer said in statement.
Net sales of the company stood at Rs 235.84 crore for the quarter ended November 30 2010, compared to Rs 194.94 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
The company's board has also declared an interim dividend of Rs 12.50 (125 per cent )per equity share of Rs 10 each payable to shareholders.
For the year ended November 30, 2010 the company posted a net profit of Rs 163.20 crore, compared to Rs 136.88 crore in the previous year.
In a separate filing to the BSE, the company said Richard Gane has resigned as the director of the company with effect from today.
Shares of Pfizer today closed at Rs 1,123.25 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange, down 0.49 per cent from its previous close.
