Piramal Enterprises acquires minority stake in Apollo's Health SuperHiway

HealthHiway focuses on leveraging IT to enable better efficiency, processes and information exchange in healthcare sector

Piramal Enterprises Limited (PEL) acquires minority equity stake in Apollo's Health SuperHiway Private Limited. In an announcement to National Stock Exchange (NSEL), PEL said that it has concluded the first phase of the investment by investing Rs 60 lakh in Health Superhiway.

This investment has made PEL a minority shareholder in the company, upon the second tranche of investment being completed, which is depended on Health Super Highway achieving specified growth milestones, PEL will control a majority stake in the business.

Currently, the Apollo founder Pratap C Reddy's family and Apollo Hospital investment vehicles — PCR Investments and Indian Hospitals Corporation hold over 90% of the company.

Incorporated in 2007, HealthHiway focuses on leveraging IT to enable better efficiency, processes and information exchange in the healthcare sector, with a vision to build a national healthcare information repository for India.

HealthHiway offers innovative IT solutions that are affordable and scalable, contributing significantly to operational efficiencies.

HealthHiway caters to the IT needs of small and midsized hospitals, Clinicians, healthcare support services, Health Insurance and Public health care services including Government and large organisation.
