Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company Piramal Healthcare today reported a 45 per cent increase in its net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2009 at Rs 74.11 crore as compared to Rs 50.94 crore recorded for the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Income from operations for the same period increased by 16 per cent to Rs 569.73 crore as against Rs 498.12 crore posted in the same quarter in the earlier year.
Consolidated net profit for the same period rose by 25 per cent at Rs 85.10 crore as compared to Rs 68.09 crore while consolidated net income from operations grew by 16 per cent at Rs 821.54 crore as against Rs 708.32 crore.
