Pharma major Piramal Healthcare today said its consolidated net profit jumped over twofold to Rs 136 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2009.
Total income increased to Rs 907.7 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, as against Rs 832.6 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Piramal Healthcare said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
On the standalone basis, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 138 crore for the December quarter, a jump of over threefold in the same year-ago period.
Shares of Piramal Healthcare closed at Rs 355.40 on the BSE, down 6.26 per cent from its previous close.
