Polycab, the country’s largest manufacturer of cables and wires, aims to cross a turnover of Rs 20,000 crore by 2020.

Before the end of this fiscal, Polycab has already touched a turnover of Rs 4,500 crore.

“At Polycab, we constantly strive to bring greater happiness to our customers through best in class products and  services. We at Polycab understand the importance of both aesthetics and performance,” said R Ramakrishnan, vice chairman, Group chief executive officer (CEO) and joint managing director (JMD), Polycab. Polycab makes nearly 15,000 km of cables and 125,000 km of wires, on an average, every month, providing employment to over 6,000 people. Polycab has an enviable market share of 40 per cent in the organised  sector.

Commenting on the Odisha market, Ramakrishnan said, “Odisha is poised to take a big leap in being a leading state participating in the Indian growth story. We at Polycab understand this important time in Odisha's history and constantly strive to bring greater happiness to our customers in India and in Orissa through best in class products and services.”

Polycab has forayed into all consumer products like fans, lights, switches, water heaters and has planned to launch other electrical appliances suited to the market.

The company’s competitive edge lies in its product innovation as well as superior quality and ready availability. Polycab’s state-of-the art manufacturing facilities at Daman and Halol (Gujarat) were created to address these specific needs.
