The company which has three plants in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharasthra will sell the commodity online across India in phased manner.
"To provide ease to our customers we have taken this initiative. We have become first e-commerce Cement Company in India, It is the latest next-gen customer friendly initiative," Atul Desai, Chief Marketing Officer of the company said here.
The "e-tailing" or online-sale facility will be available for a minimum order of 25 bags and it will be delivered at the customers' door-step within 48 hours.
Initially, the Reliance cement will be available online in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The company has its cement manufacturing plant in Maihar (Madhya Pradesh) with 5.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) cement. "We will achieve 15.5 MTPA capacity and we will come up with plan accordingly," Desai said.
