Religare strengthens equity markets team

The new hires would further bolsters their capabilities

Religare Capital Markets Ltd (RCML), the investment banking and institutional equities arm of diversified financial services group Religare Enterprises Ltd (REL), has announced the appointments of Varun Lohchab as MD & Head of Research and Sanjay Vaid as Director & Head of Cash Sales Trading. Also joining the team is Rohit Ahuja - Analyst, Oil & Gas. They will be based at RCML's Mumbai office.

Varun Lohchab has re-joined RCM from CIMB India. He has over 15 years of experience, having worked previously at Fidelity and Franklin Templeton. He has also been rated as No 1 consumer analyst for earnings estimates by Star mine awards in year 2010 and 2011 and No 1 for stock picking in consumer sector in the year 2013.

Sanjay Vaid was the Head of Trading at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (India) and has over 20 years of experience in the Indian Capital markets. He draws from his previous research experience to provide clients with high quality strategic and investment advice.

Rohit Ahuja has joined Religare from ICICI Securities and is one of the leading research analysts in the Oil & Gas sector with over 12 years of experience
