The 345th Board meeting of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) began here today under Chairman Sushil Kumar Rungta.

The Board of Directors, mostly Managing Directors of all the steel plants under SAIL, are attending the meeting.

The meeting will discuss key issues concerning the steel sector and the present scenario.
Members of Rourkela Shramik Sangh (RSS), a recognised trade union body of the Rourkela steel plant, wore black badges on the day of the Chairman's visit to protest the "delay" in workers' wage revision, which has been pending for the last 10 years, union President Prasanta Kumar Behera told.
