Sony India has lined up a Rs 100 crore marketing budget, to increase its sales growth during the festive season. “During September and October, we see tremendous growth in sales across all regions. This year, we have lined up new products to be launched with innovative technologies and offering various discounts,” said Tadato Kimura, general manager (marketing) of Sony India. The company is embarking on both below-the-line and above-the-line media campaigns to reach out to customers. It will also ramp up its retail presence to 6,000 outlets from the current 5,000. Sony India is targeting Rs 2,000 crore sales as against Rs 1,500 registered last year. Andhra Pradesh contributes 12 per cent to the total sales and is the largest market for Bravia products. “We are targeting Rs 125 crore sales from the state, an increase of 56 per cent over last year,” he added.
