Spanco to add 800 employees for Idea by year-end

Spanco BPO Services Ltd today said it plans to hire 800 employees by year-end to serve its client Idea Cellular from the centre here, company's top official said.

Spanco, which has been associated with Idea in Dehra Dun for over a year now, offers services to subscribers across three circles in Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan, Spanco BPO CEO Pravin Kumar told reporters here.

"The association, which at present has a headcount of 1,200 is expected to reach 2,000 by year-end," he said.

With the increasing business volume and growing need of manpower, Spanco has been setting up call centres in non-metro locations like Dehra Dun and Coimbatore to get closer to the relevant workforce and contain operation costs with increased efficiency, Kumar said.
