| Kanungo described the budget as an attempt by the Union finance minister to satisfy the need and aspirations of the large section of the society. |

| Besides, it will encourage the savings and help in controlling inflation. |

| P Venugopal Rao, an eminent chartered accountatnt, however, expressed concern over the plan expenditure being 32 percent. |
