Stylofie.com raises Rs 1.65 cr from Hong Kong-based Swastika

The beauty and wellness company would use proceeds to expand beyond Delhi

Stylofie.com, a beauty and wellness startup, has raised $250,000 (about Rs 1.65 crore) in seed funding from Hong Kong based company Swastika.

Styofie is an online market place through which consumers can discover salons/spas near them, read review and ratings of services, compare prices and get discounts every time they do online booking through the app/site.

Currently the company is operational in Gurgaon and have around 100 plus premium salon/spaoutlets listed with them.

Stylofie was bootstrapped from personal savings of the founders, so far. This seed round gives them headroom to strengthen their technology stack and look at expansion in Delhi.

The company was founded by Prateek Agarwal, who was with Airtel, Videocon and Telecom Oman earlier along with Saurav Dey (ex-Ingersoll-Rand, Accenture, Genpact).

Later, CTO, Balaji Srinivasan, who was with Genpact earlier brought joined the company with technology and project management experience and Puneet who is ex-L'Oreal and Atul who used to manage a large salon chain in NCR, who brought unique insights and nuances about the industry.

Stylofie provides a technology platform for discovery, comparison, reviews, payment and booking - all rolled into one website and mobile app for consumers.

Currently the company is a team of 10 people across Supplier Enablement, Customer Delight & Software Development.

Vaibhav Jain, Director of Hong Kong based Swastika Company Limited added, "Stylofie has got two things going for them - Great team of seasoned professionals at the Helmand a monetisation plan. They have started generating revenues from day one and have very healthy unit economics."

Currently active only in Gurgaon, the company claims it has seen a growth in their customer base and revenue - over 100% growth month on month.
