Sun Pharma Q2 net rises 135%

Drug sales in the US helped drug major Sun Pharmaceutical post a 135 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 512.7 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008, as compared to Rs 218.5 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.

Consolidated total income has increased by 79 per cent from Rs 672.8 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007, to Rs 1201.3 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.
